Background briefing
Theming and Animatronics Industries
SA (TAA) was founded in 2004 by Udo
Weisenburger. The 2010/2011 season has
been our most successful. The extensive
trade media coverage of TAA and our increasing
number of renowned projects
and clients of leading theme parks are our
best references!
Parent company
TAA is a Spanish-based share holding
company. The management is in
Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. Our
daughter company, Escenomatica, has
its own production facilities and is based
in Romania. Approximately 100 employees
combine traditional skills with
modern production, such as the German
D-licence for welding.
Product range
TAA is a specialised manufacturer for
themed environments and all types of
rides ranging from roller coasters to
dark rides. Our own production facilities
are under German management,
enabling us to run major projects at best
value-for-money.
Main services
We manufacture themed environments.
Maya Valley at
Heide-Park Soltau was created
from cement, while the
Pirate Ship in Skull Pirates
Bay and the shipwrecks at
the SEA LIFE Centers were
made from timber. We also
provide themed animal
habitats, prop selections and
scenery designs, mechanical
and animatronic movements.
Additional services
TAA specialises in dark rides like the
Dracula Dark Ride and Van Helsing's Factory
- a 2011 key attraction at Movie Park.
We themed the interior and exterior of
both the factory and the restaurant into
Van Helsing's Club. Both have impressive
interior and exterior facades, but in
different factory styles and with great
props.
Key customers
Major groups like Merlin Entertainments,
Parques Reunidos and Plopsa, as well as
independent parks and zoos.
Trade shows
Our booth Pirate Ship Wreck at EAS
Rome and IAAPA Orlando in 2010 was
considered by visitors as the best show
booth they had seen. Following the Asian
Attractions Expo in Singapore, our next
shows will be EAS London and IAAPA Orlando,
Florida, USA.
