A new £4m privately-owned luxury day spa is set to open in Burnley during early 2013.
The Woodland Spa will be located within the 100-acre Crow Wood leisure complex, owned and managed by father and son team Andrew and Oliver Brown.
The spa has been designed by Andrew Parker Architecture with Malcolm King of IDP Design and Procurement being appointed interior designer.
The spa will have three specialist pools, two hot tub spas and an extensive thermal experience suite. The Thermal Experience will offer a heat and ice journey, which will include use of the serenity pool and an indoor to outdoor infinity edge pool that leads you to one of two outdoor hot tubs, outdoor saunarium and landscaped gardens and bar.
It also comprises a 6.8m hydrotherapy pool, salt steamrooms, experience showers and an ice fountain.
The therapy suite will boast 10 single and one double treatment room, a relaxation room with ambient lighting and a lounge.
The Woodland Spa will use Decléor, Carita and OPI products, in addition to introducing a new range of luxury organic products from NEOM.
The spa will offer a combination of traditional and innovative therapeutic, cosmetic and relaxation treatments inspired by the French skincare products used. Two Mud Rasul Chambers provide the opportunity for up to four people to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of organic mineral mud whilst relaxing in a traditional private steamroom.
A senior management team including spa manager Karen Ashworth and food & beverage director Olivier Foucré will support the owners.
Owner Andrew Brown said: "The investment was required in order to maintain our position as leading providers in the leisure and spa industry.
"As a result of extensive nationwide market research and the compilation of a comprehensive business plan, we are confident that we will offer a unique and much needed quality day spa facility in the north of England."
